Our Story
Andy Howard began his career as a design engineer, working on complex construction projects across the industrial, infrastructure, and property sectors. Over thirty-eight years, he progressed through project management and business unit leadership before taking on some of the most senior roles in consulting engineering, culminating in his appointment as Chair and CEO of Arup Americas and a member of the Arup Group Board.
Throughout that career, one conviction deepened steadily. Engineers matter. The challenges humanity faces, from climate change to water security, from failing infrastructure to the energy transition, will not be solved without a thriving, well led, and well-resourced engineering community. The world needs engineering firms that are efficient, financially strong, and equipped to grow, so that their capacity to address these challenges grows with them.
Howard Advisory was founded on that conviction. Andy helps owners and investors create better partnerships and stronger engineering businesses. Our goal is a more capable and impactful engineering community. Well capitalized and well led firms, equipped with enabling AI, create the conditions for this to happen.
